Open Scene and the Central Florida Composers Forum (CF2), return to Timucua Arts Foundation for Songs from the Hispanic Diaspora III, the third installment in this ongoing collaborative celebration of Latin American poetry and contemporary music, this time with a new partner: Musiva!
This powerful concert features seven newly commissioned works that bring to life poetry by pillars of Hispanic literature, meticulously curated by Thamara Bejarano of Open Scene. Spanning the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Uruguay, the program pairs new musical settings with bilingual readings, creating a rich, cross-cultural artistic experience.
