Brandon Kyle Miller

Brandon Kyle (Jude) Miller is a bassist, composer, and educator based in Orlando, Florida. Current projects include ANSWERS, Golden Flower, The Bebop Bounty Big Band, Joey Fatone’s (of *NSYNC) Fat Tones & A Legendary Night, The Brian Tarquin Group, and more. Brandon received his degrees in jazz performance from the University of Central Florida and the University of South Florida. He performs on double, electric, and keyboard basses.

Brandon began playing music at the age of ten in school. His development began on the clarinet and alto saxophone. Playing electric bass up until the early morning because of restless nights gave him ample time to explore the instrument. Double bass entered the picture during his college years where he studied and took lessons with masters such as John Lamb (Duke Ellington), John Clayton (Count Basie), Richard Drexler, LaRue Nicholson, Chris Rottmayer, Mark Neuenschwander, Eric Bergeron, Per Danielsson, and Mike Hill.

He toured with the Broadway Musical Tootsie, The Bebop Bounty Big Band, and Joey Fatone around the USA. He performs frequently as a sideman with the Orlando Philharmonic and the Florida Orchestra. He’s performed with Sutton Foster and Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael James Scott, Wayne Brady, members of Boyz II Men, Bret Michaels, Debbie Gibson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Taylor Dayne, Montel Jordan, Lance Bass, Alfonso Ribeiro, Luis Fonsi, Rob Base, and many more. He uses effects in his solo work as Cornelius Lee. He plays, arranges, and composes for the band ANSWERS as well as Golden Flower with influences from around the world. He has also produced and mixed a number of studio and live recordings. Recently, Golden Flower performed his orchestral arrangements with the Mudita Orchestra.

Brandon is currently in the final drafting stages of his book, A Theory of Rhythm, connecting the many dots between the rhythms of the world as well as advancements in music technology. Brandon proudly uses GHS Strings, Gallien-Krueger Amplifiers, Peterson Strobe Tuners, and InEarz Monitors.
