Welcome to Inner sanctum Creative Flow Chamber 2.0.  As a child, the musical seed was planted by my paternal grandmother who was a piano teacher.  She sat me down at four o’clock and opened the door…scales and chords that got the creative juices flowing. As well, my maternal grandmother played organ and was an artist ( which inspired a whole other creative outlet to this day – visual art in its various forms).

Musically, I found that I enjoyed singing early on and was intrigued by all the sounds around me in nature and and household objects, often singing along with the drone of the vacuum cleaner and blowing and clinking on bottles and jars.  I started learning guitar and bass in High School, sang in Children’s choirs as well as concert choir in Secondary School and High School.  While Working on my AA degree at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington and after a stint in the U.S. Navy, I studied classical voice and Jazz studies on bass.

At Western  Washington University, I majored in Vocal Performance in Music as well as studies in Opera Workshop and Composition.  At one point,  I found the door to the Theatre Department and did some minor studies in Actor’s Studio.  I had a singing and acting opportunity in Alaska for three years.working for various theatre and opera companies.  I  made my way down to Seattle,Washington and did a lot of Theatre there.  Then, Disney brought me to Orlando to work in Streetmosphere Improv Theatre, Universal Studios (for Ghostbusters and Doc Brown) and got involved in theatre, film, art and the music scene with various groups. At one point, found out about Timucua and then Central Florida Composers Forum and here we are.  The creative flow continues…
