Rebekah Todia
Rebekah Todia is fostering creativity and nurturing the musical talents of students in order to inspire growth and development within the field of music.
In 2002, Rebekah graduated with a degree in Art Education from Miami Dade College, with her focus on fine arts and metal smithing. She also pursued music courses during her time there. After graduating, she worked on various music projects in the Greater Miami area. Rebekah was accepted into the music program at Rollins college in Winter Park Florida shortly after. She studied under Dr. Gary Wolf, Professor Emeritus of Music. Her time with Dr. Wolf inspired her music through piano performance, composition, and theory.
Rebekah has composed and performed works for Central Florida Composers Forum, including their premiere concert in 2012, the Composers Salon Concerts in 2013, 2016, and 2019. She also composed for their concert at Timucua Arts foundation in Orlando Florida, for the composer’s forum premiere concert, “A Sinking Ship is Still a Ship” In 2020. Her original composition, “Sun Shower Fantasy” was arranged and performed with The Orlando City Arts Project at Harriet’s Ballet for the Re:Charge event during the pandemic in August 2020, where each guest had their private floorspace to lay out and enjoy the music coming from the center of the room.
Rebekah Todia focuses on melody in her writings, with hopes that it reaches the audience through connecting ideas. She currently teaches in the Composition Department at Full Sail University, in their Audio and Music Production degree programs. She is still working on original music compositions and honing the art of piano performance.
